Brecon Digital Support

Helping you use technology with confidence

Friendly, one-to-one technology help in your own home.

Whether you’re setting up a new phone, struggling with passwords, worried about a suspicious email, or simply want someone to explain things clearly, I’m here to help.

No jargon. No rushing. Just patient support at your own pace.

Serving Brecon and the surrounding area.

Friendly help, clear explanations

Technology should make life easier, not more stressful.

Many people feel embarrassed asking for help with phones, tablets, laptops or online services. There really is no need. Technology changes quickly, and we all need a helping hand from time to time.

I’ll visit you at home and explain things clearly, step by step, at a pace that suits you. Whether it’s solving a problem, setting up a new device or simply showing you how something works, my aim is to help you feel more confident using your technology.

I’m not just there to fix today’s problem. I want you to feel confident enough to do it yourself next time.

How I can help

I can help with:

  • Smartphones, tablets and laptops
  • Emails and passwords
  • Video calls with family and friends
  • Online banking and shopping
  • NHS and Government websites
  • New device setup
  • Photos and printing
  • Scam messages and online safety
  • Anything that simply doesn’t seem to be working

No question is too small.

Whether it’s “Where have my photos gone?”, “Why won’t this printer work?”, “Is this text message a scam?” or “Can you show me that again?”, I’m always happy to help and you’ll never be made to feel silly for asking.

Helping you stay safe online

Unfortunately, scams are becoming more common, especially by email, text message and phone.

If something doesn’t feel right, I’ll happily check it with you.

I’ll explain how to recognise scams, protect your passwords and bank accounts, and use the internet with greater confidence.

Sometimes five minutes of reassurance is worth much more than hours of worrying.

Personal step-by-step guides

After every visit, if it’s require,  I’ll leave you with a simple personalised guide showing exactly what we’ve covered.

These easy-to-follow notes are written in plain English with clear step-by-step instructions, so if you forget something next week or next month, you’ll have your own guide to refer back to.

There’s no extra charge. It’s simply part of the service because my aim is to help you become more confident using your technology.

A local service for local people

I’m semi-retired and live here in Brecon.

Brecon Digital Support grew from years of helping friends, neighbours and family with everyday technology. I realised that many people don’t need an IT company or a call centre. They simply want someone local, patient and trustworthy who can explain things clearly.

That’s exactly what I aim to provide.

My goal is simple: to help people in Brecon and the surrounding area stay connected, confident and safe online.

For families who live further away

Do your parents or older relatives need a little help with technology?

Many people in this area have adult children who live elsewhere and can’t always be there when Mum, Dad or another family member gets stuck with technology.

Whether they’re living independently, with a partner, or simply finding it harder to keep up with today’s technology, it can be reassuring to know there’s someone local they can trust.

Before arranging a visit, I’m always happy to speak with you by phone or video call. It gives you the chance to ask questions, explain any concerns, and decide whether I’m the right person to help.

Many families simply want the reassurance of knowing there’s a trusted local person nearby when they can’t be there themselves.

Why choose me?

Turst Matters.

Throughout my career I’ve worked in roles where people placed their trust in me every day.

I worked as an Operating Department Practitioner, caring for patients in operating theatres.

I later became a university lecturer, helping students build confidence and develop new skills.

More recently, I worked in cyber security for the UK’s largest building society, leading teams responsible for helping protect members’ information and money.

Today, I bring those experiences together through Brecon Digital Support.

You won’t be rushed.

You won’t be talked down to.

You won’t be expected to “just know” how technology works.

Instead, you’ll receive friendly, patient support from someone who genuinely enjoys helping people feel more confident using technology.
